Introduction To Main Characters

There's a substantial list of unique characters. I listed 6 characters that I think do a good job introducing anyone to who lives in the delicious world of Strawberry Shortcake. Each character is based on a fruit and a desert. They have a monochromatic design of the fruit they represent. Some characters' personalities are based on the taste of the fruit. Strawberry shortcake is described as sweet and caring while Lemon meringue is known to be sour and a tad self absorbent but she also cares for her friends. With the pictures below you can get to know some of the friends in the Strawberry Shortcake franchise.

Raspberry Tart

Raspberry Tart is raspberry themed character with a magenta/pink color scheme. She has a sassy personality and is not affraid to speak her mind. Her side kick is her pet monkey Rhubarb.

Strawberry Shortcake

Strawberry Shortcake is a kind soul. Shes the bread of the friendship sandwich keeping things together. Shes has a positive can do spirit along with her pet cat Custard.

Orange Blossom

Orange Blossom is a planner. She loves to keep things neat and tidy. She tends to be more independent and she can struggle to ask for help. Her pet companion is Marmalade the butterfly.

Lemon Meringue

Lemon Meringue tends to focus on herself more than others but is not a sour sally. She loves fashion and gossip. She loves to chat with her pet Frappe the frog.

Lime Chiffon

Lime Chiffon is a shy and soft-spoken character. Her passion is ballet and she can spend hours dancing and perfecting her dance. Her bestfriend is her pet parrot Parfait.

Blueberry Muffin

Blueberry muffin in a bookworm. She's known to be intelligent She also like to plan everything like Orange blossom. She also likes to perform plays with her pet mouse Cheesecake.

Some notable mentions I didn't get to mention are: Plum Puddin, Angel Cake, Huckleberry Pie, and Cafe Ole. There's a character for every fruit, desert, and personality. The Strawberry Shortcake characters have had a design change every few years. Each time they re-designed their characters they always modernize their looks, make subtle, sometimes extreme changes in their personality, change their pets, and change the art style. Again the 80s design is my favorite but the 1991 change is high up on my list. The Strawberry Shortcake Wiki does a great job at cataloging and describing every change and every character from 1978 to 2026.
