I love to collect various items from the 70s and beyond! I either collect from antique shops or “borrow” them from family members. Retro toys are way more simple, unique, and hilarious than toys on the market today. Instead of having a plain empty room I decided to start collecting things that make me happy and look awesome in my space. I also collect wade figures, vintage vinyl, old bags, and vintage holiday themed items. I love to have a mini silver tree in my room and decorate it with teenie beanie ornaments and mini troll dolls on candy canes when christmas comes around. This lifestyle can be expensive, but it's sustainable and cooler.
The pictures listed below are the main things I look for at flea markets, antique shops, and on ebay. Old troll dolls are so charming. I have a small army of them that is slowly growing. I look for ones that have a gem on their belly or ones in costumes. I recently started collecting strawberry shortcake dolls. I grew up watching a few strawberry shortcake episodes and the doll looked way different from what I used to know. I'm currently looking for the Cafe Ole Doll and the Raspberry Tart Doll. Next I have a lot of Garfeild related items from a lamp I found at a Salvation Army to old comic books I'm saving for scrapbooking. My uncle loves Garfeild so I always text him my newest finds. Lastly, I collect old care bear figurines. My mom had a few and I played with them when I was little so when I re-discovered them in my basement I took them into my care and they are now displayed on a shelf.
